Shivi Buildwell is run out of Flat No 40 in Mitra Vihar, which is in the Pitampura area of North West Delhi. It’s more of a residential setup than a corporate one, which suits us just fine. We do building and development work, mostly focusing on residential plots and small apartment blocks around this side of town. The office is usually full of the smell of tea and the sound of people talking over blueprints. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been in the construction game for a long time. Pitampura is a busy neighborhood, and we’ve seen it grow quite a bit since we started. Our desk is usually covered in site photos and bills from the hardware store. We spend a lot of our mornings visiting sites to make sure the laborers have what they need and that the materials arrived on time. It’s not always easy, especially when it rains and the mud makes everything a mess, but we get through it. We aren't looking to build skyscrapers; we just like making solid homes for people in the community. Most of our clients are people we meet through friends or family, so we try to keep things honest and straightforward. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, without any big fuss or any complicated corporate plans.
