Our business, Abycons Woolens Private Limited, is based at E-169 in Prashant Vihar. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s relatively quiet compared to the main markets. We focus on woolen items, which means we are incredibly busy during the colder months and a bit slower when it’s hot out. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the building is just a regular house that we use for our operations. We have storage for the yarn and the finished sweaters and jackets. In the winter, the place is packed to the ceiling with warm clothes. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We have a small team that handles the knitting machines and the packing. Sometimes we sit out on the steps for a break when the weather is nice. We aren't trying to be the biggest wool company in India; we just want to provide decent stuff for people to stay warm. Prashant Vihar is a good spot for us because it’s easy to get to, and we have everything we need nearby. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us and our machines and a lot of wool. Every year we think about expanding, but then we decide we like the way things are going right now. It’s a steady business and we take pride in the fact that we’ve stuck around this long. It’s simple and it works for us.
