About Vriksham Green Treasure Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in North West Delhi
We’ve been working out of House No-116 in Pocket-2, Sector-16, Rohini for a little while now. It’s a quiet enough spot, mostly just houses around us, which makes it a nice place to handle all the plants and green stuff we deal with. People sometimes walk past and wonder what Vriksham Green Treasure Foundation is actually doing inside, and honestly, most days we’re just busy getting our hands dirty with seeds and saplings. It’s not a big office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more like a home that’s been taken over by greenery. We started this because we noticed there wasn't enough shade on the local streets, so we figured we should try and fix that ourselves. Most of the staff here live nearby in Rohini too, so we know the area well. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors about which trees grow well in this Delhi heat. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially in the peak of summer when everything wants to wilt, but we keep at it. There’s always a lot of watering to do and bags of soil being moved around the front. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone sorting out pots or checking on the nursery we’ve got going. It’s just us doing what we can from our little corner here in Sector-16. Every evening we try to clean up the porch before heading home.
