Vardhman Traders

Our spot is located at 134-135 Pitampura Shiva Market, which is quite close to the Madhuban Chowk. It’s a double shop space, but even with that extra room, it still feels full most of the time. We deal with a lot of different traders and local builders who are working on projects in the Pitampura area. The traffic at Madhuban Chowk can be a nightmare, so we usually get people coming in looking a bit stressed from the drive. We have a lot of crates and boxes that need to be unboxed every morning. The shelves are packed with all sorts of trading goods, and we try to keep some kind of order, though it doesn’t always stay that way. The floor is concrete and has some cracks here and there from years of moving heavy equipment. We sit on plastic stools behind the counter and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a lot of talking about prices and checking what we have left in the back storage. Being in Shiva Market means you get to know the other shop owners, and we often share tea in the afternoons. It is a very practical environment where the focus is just on getting the right items to the right people. We don't have fancy displays, just the stock as it comes. It is a busy life here near the chowk, and there is always something that needs to be moved, counted, or sold before the day is over.
