Thakran Clinic

Our clinic is over at Wz- 469 in Sri Nagar, right in the Shakur Basti and Pitampura area of Delhi. It’s been sitting on this street for a long time. If you live around here, you’ve probably walked past our door a hundred times. It’s just a regular local clinic. We don’t have those big glowing signs or a massive lobby. It’s a small place where we see people for all sorts of common problems. Delhi gets really hot, so we usually have the fans going full blast. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just have to manage with the windows open. We see a lot of families from the neighborhood. Kids come in with scraped knees or fevers, and the older folks come for their regular checkups. It’s a bit cramped when it gets busy, especially on Monday mornings. We keep our records in big folders on the shelves. It’s not all computerized and high-tech. We like it that way because it feels more personal. The noise from the Basti is always there, but we are used to it by now. We just do our work, talk to the patients, and help them get back on their feet. There’s no corporate talk here. Just a doctor and some staff trying to help the folks in the 110034 zip code. It’s a simple life in a busy city. We take it one patient at a time and try to keep things moving.
