Strengthening People Foundation

Our office is over in Dilshad Colony, specifically at G-139-Ug-2 on the ground floor. It’s part of the Shahdara area in East Delhi. Strengthening People Foundation has been here for a bit now. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to stop by without having to climb stairs. The space is simple and honest. We have a few rooms where we handle our daily business. It’s not a huge place, but we make every inch of it count. Dilshad Colony is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always noise from the street, which we’ve gotten used to over the years. We don't have a big reception desk or a bunch of people walking around in suits. We usually just wear whatever is comfortable for work. Most of our time is spent talking to people or sorting out the piles of paperwork on our desks. We try to stay organized, even if it looks a bit messy sometimes with all the different things we have going on at once. We like being in this part of Delhi. It feels real. There’s no corporate pretense here. We just show up, open the shutters, and get to work. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and other times it's quieter. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle in the corner. It’s a practical setup for practical people. If you find yourself in Shahdara, you might pass right by us. We’re just another part of the local fabric, doing what we can from G-139.
