Out in Narela at plot 1573, you’ll find our factory. It’s an industrial spot, so the whole area is filled with warehouses and manufacturing units. We make cables and cords here. The main floor is always loud because the machines are constantly running. There’s a smell of warm rubber and metal that you just get used to after a while. We have big heavy spools of copper and plastic pellets waiting to be processed. It’s hard work and the floor is dusty no matter how much we sweep it. We don't wear fancy uniforms, just clothes that we don't mind getting grease on. Narela is quite far out, so it’s a long commute for some of us. In the summer, the heat inside the shed is pretty intense, even with the big industrial fans blowing. We check the machines every morning to make sure they’re running right. Sometimes a wire snaps or a coating comes out wrong, and we have to stop everything and fix it. We have a small office tucked in the front where we handle the paperwork and take calls. It’s a basic setup with some metal filing cabinets and a couple of old desks. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of layers. We just make the cords, pack them into boxes, and load them onto the trucks. It’s a steady, repetitive job that keeps us busy from morning until evening.
