Shri Om Alloys

Shri Om Alloys is tucked away in the Wazirpur Industrial Area at A 33. If you have ever been to Wazirpur, you know it is a place where things are constantly being made. The streets are narrow and always crowded with carts and tempos. Our unit is just one of many in this part of Delhi. We work with alloys, which means there is a lot of heat and heavy lifting involved in our daily routine. The walls of our place aren't painted in bright colors; they look like a factory should look. It's gray and metallic and busy. We don’t have a front desk with a receptionist. Usually, someone just yells over the sound of the equipment if a visitor comes by. We focus on the production side of things. The work is repetitive but it requires us to pay attention. Lunch breaks are usually taken sitting on whatever is available, talking about the news or the traffic on the Ring Road. We’ve been at A 33 for quite a while now. Most people in the industrial area know us by sight. We don’t try to act like we are some giant corporation. We are just a local alloy business trying to keep up with the orders that come in. The air is thick with the smell of metal, and the noise is just something we have gotten used to over the years.
