Shiv Shankar Singh Foundation

We are located out in Karala, in an area called Dheeraj Vihar. Our specific spot is House Number 57-C, which is part of Khasra Number 53/2 in Jain Colony. We are on Street Number 6. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the center of Delhi, but this is where the work is. The neighborhood is mostly houses and small shops. It’s a very local feel here. We don’t have a big fancy office building. It’s just a house where we’ve set up our rooms to work from. There’s usually someone around if you drop by during the day. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and the people who live in the colony. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything. We just take things as they come. Some days we are helping someone with a form, and other days we are just listening to people’s problems. It’s very hands-on and practical. The streets can get a bit muddy when it rains, and it’s not the most polished place, but it works for us. We’re just a small foundation trying to be useful in our own little corner of Delhi. We don’t need much more than a place to sit and some people who care. That’s pretty much how we operate every single day. It is simple work, but it keeps us very busy from morning until the sun goes down.
