Shilpa Dance Acting Musical Institute

We have been operating out of Mangolpuri L-917 for a good while now. If you walk by in the afternoon, you can usually hear the music coming from inside. It gets pretty crowded when the dance classes start, and we often have to move the chairs around to make enough room for everyone. The acting side of things is a bit quieter, but not by much. We are just a local spot where people come to learn something new or practice what they already know. The building is easy to find once you are in the right block of Mangolpuri. Inside, things are simple. We’ve got some mats on the floor and a few instruments tucked in the corners. It’s not one of those polished studios you see on TV, just a practical space for us to work. Sometimes the music is too loud and we have to tell the kids to turn it down a bit. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized. It’s a lot of work to manage the different schedules for acting and music, but we manage. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about timings or just to see what’s going on. We don’t have any big signs or anything, just the name on the door. It’s a busy life here, but it feels right being part of the community in this way.
