Sayansh Creations

Over in Sector 3 of Rohini, at G-29/232, you will find Sayansh Creations. It’s a plain brick building and our space is on the ground floor. We’ve been here for several years, watching the neighborhood change and the new shops open up. The space inside is mostly taken up by workbenches and rolls of material. It’s not a place where we put on a show. There is usually a pile of mail near the entrance that nobody has bothered to sort yet. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum quite loudly, but they keep the air moving. Most days, it is just us working through the orders. We use a lot of chalk for marking patterns, so there is always a bit of white dust on our clothes. The windows face the back alley, so we don't get much of a view, just the brick wall of the next building. It is a quiet existence for the most part. Sometimes we have to move all the chairs just to fit a large delivery through the door. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the place somewhat tidy, though the fabric scraps seem to multiply overnight. It is just a basic workshop where we get things done without much fuss or bother.
