Saraswat Foundation For Animal And Humancare

We are located at 16A/3 on the second floor, right opposite Indira Park in Jwala Nagar. This is the Shahdara area of East Delhi, specifically in Lahoriyo Wali Gali. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't familiar with the narrow lanes, but most people know the park. The Saraswat Foundation For Animal And Humancare is basically run from this small office. We have a view of the street from the window, and you can see people going about their business all day. We deal with animals and people who need some help, which means things can get a bit messy or loud sometimes. It isn't a sterile environment like a hospital. There’s always someone coming in to report a stray dog or asking for some kind of assistance. We try to keep things organized, but in a small space like this, it’s a challenge. We have some basic supplies stored in the back of the room. The neighborhood is quite old and the building reflects that. It’s got that lived-in feel to it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who care about the local area. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to neighbors who stop by for a chat. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a place where we try to be useful to the community around Indira Park. That's about it really.
