Samta Welfare Foundation

The Samta Welfare Foundation is located at House No 203 in Block-A, Pocket 0 of Sector 2 in Rohini. We are right near the Maya Nursing Home, which is the easiest way to tell people how to find us. If you see the nursing home, you’re basically there. The house is a typical Rohini structure, with a small gate and a bit of a porch area out front. We use the front part of the house for our work. It’s a busy area with cars and rickshaws constantly moving past the gate. Inside, we have some old wooden tables and a few benches that we’ve had for years. The walls are decorated with some random photos and a clock that is always five minutes slow. We don’t bother fixing it anymore. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend the day. Since we are so close to the medical center, we see a lot of people coming and going. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the street outside, especially in the mornings when the market is starting. We try to keep things organized but paperwork has a way of piling up on every flat surface in the room. There’s a small kitchen area where we make tea and sometimes heat up lunch. It smells like spices and old paper most of the time. We aren’t trying to be a corporate office. It’s more like a community spot where people feel okay walking in without an appointment.
