We’re up on the 11th floor of Pearls Best Heights-1 at Netajisubhash Place. It’s Plot No. 1101. Being in a high-rise is a bit different from the usual ground-floor workshops, but it works for the tooling side of things. We spend a lot of time looking at designs and talking through technical issues. The elevators are always a bit slow, especially during the lunch rush when everyone from the other offices is heading out. Our office isn't anything special to look at. We’ve got desks, some computers, and a lot of sketches pinned to the walls. It’s a bit cluttered, to be honest. We aren't very good at keeping the filing cabinets organized, but we know exactly where everything is when we need it. Most of us have been in the tooling business for a long time, so we don't need a lot of direction. We just show up, grab a coffee, and start working on whatever project is on the table. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except when we’re arguing over a specific measurement or a material choice. We don't use big words or try to impress people with corporate talk. We just focus on the solutions and try to get home at a decent hour. It’s a regular job in a busy part of Delhi. We just deal with things as they come.
