Prasad & Associates

We’ve been here at shop 95 in the Shiva Market area for a long time now. Pitampura is always a bit chaotic, especially in the evenings when everyone is out, but we’ve gotten used to the noise coming from the street. Prasad and the rest of us just come in, get the tea started, and start looking through the papers on our desks. It’s not one of those fancy glass offices you see in the magazines. Our walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Most days are pretty much the same. We talk to the neighbors, handle the work that comes in, and try to keep things moving. Sometimes the printer acts up or the internet gets slow because of the weather, but that’s just how it goes in this part of Delhi. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People usually just knock and walk right in. If it’s busy, someone might have to wait on the plastic chair near the door. It’s a practical setup. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the years, with new shops opening and old ones closing down, but Prasad & Associates is still here in the same spot. We just focus on what needs to be done each day and go home when the work is finished. It’s a simple life, but it suits us well enough.
