Perfect Pistons (India)

Our place is over in Basti Sarai Rohilla. It’s an old part of the city, right on Old Rohtak Road. Finding 19/302 can be a bit tricky if you aren't familiar with the narrow lanes. Perfect Pistons (India) has been here through a lot of changes in the neighborhood. The traffic outside is always a mess, with rickshaws and carts everywhere. It’s loud and busy from morning till night. Inside the workshop, we are busy with the engine parts. Pistons are what we know best. It’s precise work even if the surroundings look a bit worn down. We have old machines that still run better than the new ones sometimes. The walls are stained with oil and grease. That’s just how an engine shop should look, honestly. We have customers who have been coming to this same spot for twenty years. They know where to find us. We don't do much advertising. Word of mouth works better for us. My father started this and now we just keep it going. It’s a family kind of thing, even the workers feel like relatives. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about the jobs. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait on the bench outside. It’s life in Old Delhi. You take the good with the bad and keep moving. The noise from the Rohtak Road never really stops, so you get used to shouting a bit to be heard. We are just here doing the work.
