P C Gupta

Working out of the Bawana site office is a bit different than being in the middle of a busy commercial district. P C Gupta is the one usually running the show here, and you can usually find him looking over some papers or talking to the guys outside. The office isn't much to look at, just a practical space where we can sit down and handle the admin side of things. Since it's a site office, there's always a bit of dust coming in through the door, no matter how much we sweep. We have a couple of old fans that hum away all day long to keep the air moving. It gets really hot during the summer months, but we just deal with it. We keep all our records in these big metal cupboards that have been here since we started. There’s no fancy coffee machine, just a guy who brings us tea in small glasses a few times a day. We don't spend money on decorations because we'd rather just focus on the work at hand. Most of our days are spent coordinating deliveries and making sure the schedule is moving along. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We like the grit of Bawana and the fact that everyone here is just trying to get things done. It’s a straightforward place and we try to run things the same way.
