I run the Overnite Express franchise from the ground floor of AE-130 in Shalimar Bagh. It’s a decent spot in a residential area, which makes it easy for local folks to drop off their couriers. Being a franchise owner means I’m responsible for everything that happens here, from the moment a parcel is handed over to when the pickup van arrives. It’s a lot of scanning, labeling, and making sure the weights are right. Delhi-110088 is our main zone. The office is pretty basic—just a counter, some scales, and some racks for the outgoing stuff. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just a local branch. Sometimes the printer jams or the internet goes down, and then we have to do things the old-fashioned way for a bit. We get all sorts of people coming in, from students sending documents to small business owners shipping out products. It’s a steady stream of work throughout the day. I’ve lived in Delhi for a long time, so I know how the courier system works here. It’s all about getting things into the system as quickly as possible so they don’t miss the night flight. It’s a quiet enough operation most of the time, just me and a couple of helpers keeping the flow going. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just take your package, give you a receipt, and send it on its way. That’s about all there is to it. Every day is about managing those small details.
