Oralia Resorts is based at House Number 145 on the ground floor in Pocket 22 of Sector 24, Rohini. It’s a quiet residential pocket, which is nice when you’re trying to get work done without too many distractions. We are a small team that manages resort properties. The office is basically a converted room in the house. It has a separate entrance so people don’t have to walk through the living room. We’ve got a few desks pushed together and some shelves that are sagging under the weight of old files. Working from Rohini means we avoid the madness of Central Delhi most of the time. We spend our days talking to staff at different resorts and making sure the supplies are ordered. It isn't a glamorous job. There is a lot of checking lists and making phone calls. Sometimes the neighbor’s dog barks all afternoon, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small plate with the name. We like keeping things low-key. It’s more personal that way. We aren’t a giant corporation with thousands of employees. It’s just a few of us trying to make sure everything runs right. We have a small fridge for cold water and that’s about as fancy as it gets. It’s a decent place to work and we know the neighbors well. It feels like we are part of the local street.
