New Balaji Lifters

You can find us over at Aw-109 in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. This place is huge and can be really confusing if you don't know your way around. New Balaji Lifters is basically a spot where we manage all our heavy equipment and keep things running. It’s a dusty place because of all the trucks and heavy vehicles moving through the transport nagar all day long. We have a small cabin that serves as our office, but most of the time we are outside checking the lifters or talking to the operators. The ground is often oily and there are heavy chains and parts lying around. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have air conditioning in the main area, just a big pedestal fan that blows the hot air around. It’s loud, it’s dirty, and it’s very busy. We usually have a few drivers hanging around waiting for their next job, so there’s always someone to talk to. We keep a big cooler of water for everyone because the heat can get pretty bad out here. Our days start very early, often before the sun is fully up, to get the machines ready. It’s not a corporate job at all. We deal with heavy steel and big engines every single day. It’s tough work but someone has to do it, and we’ve been doing it here for a while now without any fuss.
