We operate Matte Design Creations Llp out of House No. 1167 in Gali No. 7, near the New Ashok Cable Network in Modeltown. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s not like those big glass office buildings you see downtown. We like it that way because it’s quiet enough to actually get some work done. The space is filled with computers and different design tools. We spend our days mostly drawing and clicking through software. It’s not a fancy studio. We’ve got some old chairs and a table that wobbles a little if you lean on it too hard. There’s no big sign outside, just the house number. Most people who come here are locals or people who’ve heard about us from a friend. We don’t do any big advertising. We just focus on making things that people can actually use. Sometimes the internet goes out or the power blinks, which is just how it goes around here. We just wait it out and get back to it. Our team is small, just a couple of people who’ve been working together for years. We know each other's coffee orders and who’s likely to be late on a Monday morning. It’s a very normal place. We aren't trying to be the biggest design firm out there. We just want to do a decent job for the folks who ask us for help. The parking is a bit tight on Gali No. 7.
