Madhurima Social Foundation

Madhurima Social Foundation is based in the Park View Apartment complex over in Gandhi Nagar, Phase 1. We are in unit C-5. It’s a nice change of pace being in an apartment building because there’s a sense of community right outside our door. We’ve set up our office in one of the rooms here. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for the three or four of us who are usually here. We have a view of the common area, which is where the name Park View comes from, I guess. We spend most of our time organizing social projects and talking to folks who need help. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don’t wear suits or have big meetings with slides. Most of our planning happens over lunch or while we’re waiting for the printer to finish. Gandhi Nagar is a busy part of town, but our little corner in Phase 1 stays relatively quiet. We like it that way. It gives us room to think. People from the other apartments sometimes pop their heads in to say hello. We aren't trying to be some massive corporate entity. We are just local people trying to help out other local people. Our files are a bit disorganized sometimes and the walls could use a new coat of paint, but the work gets done and that’s what matters to us. It’s been a good journey so far and we plan to keep going.
