Highway Heroes India Foundation

Our office is actually Shop Number 329 inside Vardhman Plaza, which is in Manglam Place in Rohini Sector 3. It’s a busy shopping complex, so there is always a lot of activity right outside our door. Being in a shop unit means we are very accessible. People often stop by while they are out doing their other errands in the plaza. The Highway Heroes India Foundation is run out of this one main room. We’ve got shelves lining the walls and a big table in the middle where we do most of our thinking and planning. Manglam Place is a well-known spot in Rohini, so we get people coming from all over this side of the city. The lighting in the plaza isn’t always the best, so we’ve added a few extra lamps to our shop to make it brighter. It can get a bit crowded when more than four or five people are inside at once, but we don’t mind the squeeze. We spend a lot of time talking about road safety and things like that, but in a very informal way. There is no corporate dress code here; we just wear whatever is comfortable for a long day of work. We handle our own cleaning and make our own coffee. It’s a very independent setup, and being in the heart of Sector 3 keeps us very busy. We just keep our doors open for anyone.
