Healthy Kids Clinic

Healthy Kids Clinic is over in Rohini Sector 8, at 293, Pocket A-2. We are right opposite the Sector-8 petrol pump, which makes it very easy to explain the location to parents. As you can imagine, a clinic for kids is rarely quiet. There’s usually a child crying or someone playing with the few toys we keep in the corner. The walls have some colorful stickers on them to make it look less like a doctor’s office, though they’re starting to peel at the edges. We see a lot of babies for their vaccinations and older kids who’ve caught a cold at school. It gets quite crowded in the afternoons when school lets out. The waiting room is small, so it feels even noisier when there are three or four families waiting. We’ve got a few benches that have seen better days. The petrol pump across the street means there’s a constant flow of cars and the smell of fuel if the wind blows the right way. We’re just a local pediatric clinic. We don’t have any high-tech entertainment for the kids, just some old magazines and the stickers. Most of our patients are from the local apartment blocks around Rohini. It’s a busy, tiring job sometimes, but it’s what we do. We’re just here every day helping out the local families. We always keep a stash of candy in the drawer to help calm the kids down.
