Our office at Gulab Sales Agencies is tucked into the Lawrence Road Industrial Area at C-35/22. This part of the city is always humming with the sound of machinery and heavy vehicles passing by. If you spend enough time here, you get used to the constant vibration of the road. We are mostly busy with managing the stock and talking to suppliers on the phone all day. The desks are usually piled high with ledgers and delivery notes because there is always something being moved in or out of the space. It is a practical environment where the main goal is just to stay on top of the orders. We have a small crew and most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get things done. The light in the office is a bit dim and the shelves are packed with files from years ago. It feels like a proper old-school trading spot. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor or making things look pretty for visitors. People come here when they need something specific and they know we will be at our desks. Lunch is usually eaten quickly so we can get back to the phones. It is a straightforward way to earn a living and we like the familiarity of this industrial neighborhood and its busy pace.
