Grassroot Water Foundation

Our place is Flat Number 12 A in the Nature Huts 2 complex over in Khanpur. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren’t used to this side of town, but it is where we set up the Grassroot Water Foundation. The building is okay, and we have a decent amount of space to store our stuff. We spend a lot of time thinking about water and how to manage it better, though most of our actual day is just clerical work and phone calls. Khanpur is a busy area, lots of people moving around. We chose this spot because it felt grounded. It isn't some high-rise office park. We see our neighbors every day and say hello. Sometimes the elevator in the building is a bit slow, so we take the stairs. It keeps us moving. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make us look polished. It is just us, a couple of computers, and some files. We keep the windows open when the weather is nice, even if the street noise gets a bit loud. It feels more honest that way. We are just trying to do our part from this little flat. It’s nothing fancy, but it serves us well. We’ve got a small kitchen where we make coffee and we just get through the tasks on our list one by one. It’s a quiet life here in Khanpur.
