Goel Industries (India)

Our place is G-1038 in the DSIDC Complex out in Narela. Goel Industries (India) is a straightforward manufacturing setup. Narela is quite a distance for some, but for us, it’s just where the work happens every day. The complex is huge and can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around the different blocks. We have our machines set up in the main hall and that’s where we spend about ten hours a day. It’s not a clean job; there’s always oil or dust on the floor no matter how often we sweep. We don't go in for big meetings or fancy presentations. Usually, we just look at the drawings, set the machines, and start the run. If something sounds off with one of the motors, one of us will spend the afternoon fixing it. We keep a small inventory of raw materials in the back so we don't have to wait on deliveries too often. It’s a practical environment. We don't have air conditioning, so we just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the building. We just want to finish the parts and get them packed into the crates correctly. It’s a basic way of doing business, but it’s how we’ve always done it. We don't bother with the corporate stuff because it just slows us down and complicates the day.
