About God Statue – Building & Construction Material in North West Delhi
We’ve been tucked away here at D-P 213 in Maurya Enclave for quite some time now. Pitam Pura is a busy part of town, so there is always noise outside our door. Most days start early with tea and looking over what needs to be finished. We deal with all sorts of statues, mostly for people’s homes or small shrines. It is dusty work, you know, because of the materials, but we don’t mind it much. My father started things off and now we just keep the wheels turning. The neighbors know us well by now. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact spot in Maurya Enclave because the numbering is a bit strange, but they get here eventually. We have a few shelves that are always overflowing with different figures. Some are small, some are quite heavy. We don't have a big fancy showroom with glass walls or anything like that. It is more of a workshop where things actually happen. The floor is usually covered in some kind of stone dust or wood shavings depending on the week. We just try to get the orders right and make sure things don't break during the packing. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us here. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the work is done with our hands and just talking to people who drop by the shop.
