Gaurav Battery Houses

The shop, Gaurav Battery Houses, sits right in the Local Shopping Centre over in C Block of New Friends Colony. It is a familiar spot for people living around here when their car won't start or the inverter at home stops working. We have batteries stacked up all over the place, which makes the space feel a bit small, but it works for us. Living and working in this part of Delhi means you get to know the neighbors pretty well. Most of the time, someone just walks in looking stressed because their power is out. We try to help them find what they need without making a big deal out of it. It gets hot in the summer, and that is when we are the busiest because everyone's backup systems are working overtime. The floor is usually a bit scuffed from moving those heavy lead-acid blocks around. We have a few stools for people to sit on while they wait, though most folks are in a hurry to get back to their day. Being in C Block is convenient because there are other shops nearby, so people can get their groceries while we check their battery levels. We don't use fancy computers for everything; sometimes a notebook and a pen are just faster. It is a simple life running a battery shop. We just make sure the inventory is there when someone needs it.
