Garmate

Our workshop, Garmate, is tucked away in Mangolpuri Industrial Area Phase II. We are right near the Lal Building, specifically at Sch Wz-59A. If you’re looking for us, that’s the easiest way to find the door. It’s a busy spot with trucks constantly coming and going, and there is always someone loading or unloading something nearby. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the machines. We spend the day cutting fabric and putting together garments. It gets pretty loud once everyone starts working, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't some big corporation with a fancy board of directors. It’s just a local business trying to make things work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is always covered in scraps of cloth, but that’s just how it is when you’re actually making things. We don't use any complicated systems; we just keep track of everything in our notebooks and try to stay organized. Most of the staff live nearby, so it feels a bit like a community. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the clothes we produce are solid and the orders are out on time. If you come by in the afternoon, there’s usually some tea being shared and a bit of gossip about the neighborhood. It’s a simple life, focused on needles, thread, and making sure the finishing is decent.
