Fotomen Studio

Our studio is located over in Shalimar Bagh at the Al Market. We actually have two units, Shop No 1 and 2, which gives us a bit more room than some of the other spots in the market. It’s a pretty standard photography setup where we do all kinds of things like taking pictures for people and printing them out. The market can be quite a hub of activity, especially when the weekend rolls around and everyone is out doing their shopping. Inside the studio, it’s mostly just us surrounded by cameras, tripods, and different backdrops we use for portraits. We’ve been in this Shalimar Bagh location for a while, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years. The lighting inside is something we’re always messing with to get it right. It’s not a polished, high-end gallery or anything like that. It’s a working studio with bits of paper and frames tucked into corners. People from the local area come in for their passport photos or sometimes to get old family pictures restored. We just sit here and do the work. The walls are covered with some of the shots we’ve taken over time, mostly just to show what’s possible. It’s a bit dusty because of the market location, but we try to keep the equipment clean at least. It’s just a basic shop where we focus on the photos and not much else.
