Forbros Narow Fabrics

Our workshop is located at B-23/1 in the Wazir Pur Industrial Area. If you spend any time around here, you know it is all about hard work and constant movement. Forbros Narow Fabrics is just one of many units, but we have been here long enough to feel like part of the scenery. Inside, the sound of the machinery is pretty much constant. It is a mechanical humming that you stop noticing after the first hour. We make narrow fabrics, which basically means a lot of tapes and webbings. There are boxes piled up in the corners and bits of yarn on the floor. It isn't a showroom, it's a factory. We don't have air conditioning, so the big floor fans are always running during the summer months. Our lunch breaks are usually spent sitting on whatever crates are empty, talking about the cricket score or the weather. We don't have any fancy brochures or people in suits trying to sell you things. If someone needs fabric, they come in, we show them what we have, and we figure out a price. It's very direct. We've had some of the same machines since we started, and they still run better than the new ones if you treat them right. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the counts are accurate. It's not glamorous, but it is what we know how to do and how we make a living.
