It’s a busy part of North West Delhi, so there is always a lot of movement outside. The office itself is pretty simple. We have the usual desks, some older filing cabinets that have been with us for years, and a few computers that stay busy all day. Since we are on the first floor, we get to see the street activity but it stays relatively quiet inside. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when you come up. We handle a lot of international coordination, which means we spend a significant amount of time on the phone or responding to emails. There are only a handful of us here, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. The morning usually starts with opening up the windows to let some air in before the heat of the day kicks in. We don't have anything fancy like a big lobby or a modern coffee machine; we just make our own tea in the small pantry area. It is a practical space for our daily work. We just focus on getting through the paperwork and making sure everything is in order before we head home for the evening.
