Bhardwaj Time & Music Centre

Bhardwaj Time & Music Centre is located at S 1/2 Lusa Tower, right near the Akash Cinema on G T Karnal Road. It is a busy spot in the New Shastri Market area of Azadpur. When you walk in, you can hear a mix of sounds from the clocks ticking on the walls and maybe someone testing out a keyboard or a guitar in the back. The tower itself is quite tall, but we are tucked into our own corner. We spend a lot of our time opening up watch backs or tightening strings on instruments. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic from the main road, so we usually keep the door closed to keep the dust and noise out. The shelves are packed with different kinds of timepieces and musical stuff we have gathered over time. There is no fancy decor here, just practical wooden counters and some stools for people to sit on while they wait for a repair. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific part in the drawers for a long time. The lighting is a bit dim in some corners, but we have lamps at the workbenches. We see all kinds of people, from local musicians to folks just needing a battery for their watch. It is a bit of a cramped space, but we know where every single screw and string is kept.
