Assp Welfare Foundation

We operate Assp Welfare Foundation from Flat No 32/632 on the ground floor of the MCD Flats in Sector-20, Rohini Extension. We’re pretty close to the Balmiki Mandir, which makes us easy to find if you’re in the area. Being on the ground floor is handy because people can just walk in without dealing with stairs. We’ve been in this flat for a good while now. It’s not a big space, but it’s enough for the work we do. Most of us are locals who know Rohini like the back of our hands. We aren't doing this for any kind of fame. We just saw that things could be better and decided to try and help. The office is often full of papers and we usually have the radio on or some tea brewing. It’s a very informal environment. We talk to anyone who comes by. Sometimes it’s just about listening to someone’s troubles. Other times we are trying to coordinate some actual assistance. It’s slow work sometimes, and it can be frustrating when things don’t go as planned. But we keep at it. We aren't some big shiny organization. We are just a group of people in an MCD flat trying to make a small difference. It’s just how we spend our days. We don’t overthink it, we just do it. It's about showing up and being there for others.
