Anand Color Lab

Anand Color Lab is located over at JP-2 in the Pitampura Mourya Enclave area. We’ve been here for quite some time now, watching the neighborhood change around us. The shop isn't very large, and it often smells like the chemicals we use for the older style of printing, though most things are digital these days. People still bring in their old cameras or just want prints from their phones. We have a counter that’s a bit scratched up from all the bags and keys people put on it while they wait. Sometimes the printer acts up, and we have to spend an hour just cleaning the heads, which can be frustrating when there’s a line. Pitampura is a busy place, so there’s always noise coming in from the street. We try to keep things simple here. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who know how the machines work. Usually, the back room is full of envelopes waiting to be picked up. Some of them have been there for months because people forget they even dropped off their photos. We don’t mind, though. We just keep them in a box. It’s a honest way to spend the day, seeing people’s memories and helping them get something they can hold in their hands. The Mourya Enclave regulars know where we are, right by the corner. It's a small spot, but it's ours.
