We’re tucked away in Allied House, over in Inderlok. If you’re driving down Old Rohtak Road, you might miss the turn-off if you aren't looking. We are in unit A-106. It’s mostly samples and swatches lying around here. We do interiors, but it’s more about the practical side of things than the fancy magazines. A lot of our day is spent measuring things and making sure the wood isn't warped. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy doing that for other people to bother with our own. My dad started this and now I'm helping him out. It gets noisy with the traffic outside sometimes. We have a small workbench in the back for quick fixes. People come in looking for help with their kitchens or a new cupboard. We show them what we have in the catalogs. It’s not a big corporate operation. We know the other business owners in the building. Sometimes we swap tools or borrow some tape. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, one of us just wipes the dust off our hands and goes to the door. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy. We mostly just want things to look decent and stay put for the people who live there.
