Our workshop is on the second floor of WZ-598 in Siri Nagar, Shakur Basti. It’s right near the Aggarwal Sweet shop, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. The building is part of Khasra No 27/17. Being on the second floor means we have to haul everything up the stairs, which is quite a workout when we have new textile machinery or heavy rolls of fabric coming in. The area is typical for North West Delhi—lots of people, lots of traffic, and a lot of energy. We focus on the technical side of textiles here. The room is usually filled with the sound of humming machines and people talking over the noise. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we’re used to it. We have some desks pushed against the walls for the admin stuff, but the middle of the room is for the industry work. We get our tea from the shop downstairs and eat our tiffins together at the main table. There’s a lot of grease and thread around the place. We aren't trying to look like a high-tech lab; we’re a small industrial unit that gets the job done. Sometimes the orders pile up and we stay late, watching the lights from the street below. It’s a busy life in Shakur Basti, but we like being right in the middle of all the action near the market. There is always something going on around here to keep us alert.
