Aarna Sewa Foundation is based over in Rani Bagh, which is part of the Shakurbasti area in North West Delhi. Our address is WZ-2035-A, on Plot No. 9, specifically the first floor. If you are looking for us, we are near Kh. No. 319. Rani Bagh is a very busy commercial and residential mix, so there is never a dull moment. The walk to the office takes you through some narrow lanes filled with small shops and houses. Once you get to the first floor, it’s a bit quieter than the street below. We have a small balcony where we keep a few potted plants that we try to keep alive despite the Delhi dust. The office itself is just a few rooms with basic furniture. We’ve been here for a while and the place has a very lived-in feel to it. There’s a small kitchen area where we boil water for coffee and a main room where we keep all our records. We don’t really care about having the latest office gadgets; we just use what works and keep going. The 110034 area is home to us, and we know most of the people on our block. It’s the kind of environment where everyone is just trying to get through their daily tasks. We don’t put on any airs about what we do. It’s just steady work in a familiar neighborhood where the tea is always hot and the files are always plenty.
