Basirhat District Hospital

Basirhat District Hospital is located over in the Naihati Badartala area. Being a district hospital, we deal with a lot of people every single day. It’s never really quiet here. There are always people in the corridors, families waiting, and nurses rushing around. We have all kinds of wards and a lot of beds, though sometimes it feels like we need even more. The building is old and shows its age in places, with some cracks in the tiles and paint peeling here and there. But it’s where everyone in the district comes when they’re in trouble. We don't have the fancy stuff you see in private city hospitals. We have basic equipment and doctors who work long shifts. It’s a loud place, full of the sounds of a busy town. The tea stall outside does a lot of business because people are always waiting for news. We try to keep things moving, but with so many patients, there’s always a line. We manage the best we can with what we’ve got. It’s a tough job sometimes, and the paperwork never ends. But we’ve been part of this community for a long time. People know where we are and what we do. It’s just a regular government hospital trying to look after the folks in Basirhat and the surrounding villages every day. We aren't fancy, just essential for the people living in this part of the world.
