Rupa Rice Mill

The mill is located right on NH 37 in Lachit Nagar. It is very hard to miss because we are situated so close to the Thakur Badi Mandir. We spend most of our daylight hours dealing with rice, which is exactly what you would expect from a place like this. There is almost always a bit of dust hanging in the air and the machines are usually making a lot of noise. It gets quite loud, but honestly, you get used to it after working here for a week or two. We have been operating in Rupai Saiding for a long time now. The local farmers bring their loads in, and we get straight to work. It is heavy, physical work. My back usually starts to ache by the time we finish a shift. We do not have a fancy website or someone to do marketing for us. We just have the mill building and the trucks that come and go throughout the day. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly, which is a real problem, but we just wait it out and start the engines back up again. The building has seen better days and maybe needs some new paint, but it does what it needs to do. We keep the equipment running as well as we can manage. It is a very basic operation. You come in, see the grain, and hear the hum of the motors.
