Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited

Alembic Road is pretty much named after this place, which tells you how long it’s been around in Vadodara. It’s a big site, and there’s always something happening behind the gates. We have a lot of people working here, from the lab staff to the folks in the warehouse and the office. It’s not like those modern startups where everyone sits on beanbags; it’s a proper, old-school pharmaceutical setup with a lot of history in the bricks. You can see the old chimneys and the newer buildings all mixed together. Dealing with medicine on this scale means there are always rules to follow and things to check twice. It can be quite a walk from one end of the facility to the other, so we all get our exercise in. The tea stall right outside the main gate is where most of us end up at some point during the day to talk about things that aren't work. Vadodara is a good city for this kind of industry, and being on this road makes things easy for transport. We don't really spend time making things look fancy for visitors; we just focus on the manufacturing and the science part of it. Some days are long, especially when there’s a big shipment going out or a new batch being started. It’s just a part of the city’s landscape at this point, really. Everyone knows where the Alembic gates are.
