Wockhard Hospital

You can find Wockhard Hospital right by the Goa Medical College in Bambolim. It’s a bit of a trek if you are coming from the beaches, but for the people living around here, it’s a central spot. The weather in Bambolim is usually humid, so the hospital is a place where people come to get out of the sun as much as anything else. We are situated in a way that makes us easy to find near the GMC. It’s a large building, nothing too artistic about it, just solid walls and plenty of rooms. We have a lot of people coming in from all over Goa because of the location. The staff here are used to the pace. It’s not a quiet place, there is always someone moving around or a cart being pushed down the hall. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just show up, put on our uniforms, and do the jobs that need doing. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit behind, or the tea lady is late, but that’s just life in a big building like this. We’ve been part of the Bambolim landscape for a while now. It’s an honest place. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy words. We just provide the space and the equipment for the doctors to work and the patients to get better. It’s just a hospital in Goa. There are some trees outside where people wait and the sound of the main road is always there in the background. We just keep the place running as best as we can every day.
