Vintage Hospital

Vintage Hospital is right at number 25 in the Caculo Enclave over in St Inez, Panaji. Being in Goa, you might expect something different, but we are just a practical medical facility. The enclave is a decent spot, and we occupy a good part of it. It’s easy enough to find if you are familiar with St Inez. We’ve been operating here, taking care of the locals and whoever else walks through the door. The interior is functional. We have the usual hospital setup with a reception that has seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have those minimalist designs you see in new clinics; we have stuff that works. The staff here mostly talks about the weather or what’s happening in Panaji when things are slow. But when it’s busy, everyone is moving fast. We keep the patient rooms tidy and the equipment ready. It’s not a quiet library, but it’s not a chaotic mess either. We have a way of doing things that has developed over time. You might hear the distant sound of the city outside, but once you are in the treatment areas, it’s all about the task at hand. We don't use big words to describe ourselves. We are just a hospital in a neighborhood, doing the best we can with the space and tools we have. It’s homey in a weird way, despite being a place for sick people who need care.
