Studio Archetype

Studio Archetype is located in the middle of Panjim, Goa. We are at Alcon Chambers on D B Road, specifically on the first floor in office number two. Working in Panjim is interesting because of the history and the atmosphere of the city. We are an architecture firm, but we don’t spend all our time dreaming up impossible buildings. Most of our day is spent dealing with the realities of local regulations, site constraints, and material costs. Our office is a functional space. There are drawings pinned to the walls and stacks of paper everywhere. We don’t have a glossy brochure or a polished sales pitch. If you come by, you’ll just see us working. The Goa weather can be a bit much sometimes, so the fans are always on. We are a small group, and we’ve been working together for a while. We know how each other thinks, which helps when we’re trying to solve a tricky design problem. We like the challenge of taking a client’s basic idea and turning it into something real. It’s not always a smooth process, and there are plenty of long nights involved. But at the end of the day, we enjoy what we do. It’s just us, some pencils, and a lot of hard work here in Panjim. We don't mind the busy street noise outside either.
