Salvador Foundation

Salvador Foundation is located at 1/36, also known as C-36, on Luis de Menezes Road in Panaji. Being in the heart of the city means there’s always something going on outside our windows. It’s a busy street and we’ve been here for a while now. The office is a bit cramped because we’ve piled up so many supplies and papers over the years. We didn't set this up to be some big corporate entity. It was just a few of us who lived in North Goa and wanted to do something for the community. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room. If you come in, you're usually sitting right at the main table with us. We handle a lot of different things, from helping kids with school stuff to helping older folks with their errands. Every day is a bit different. Sometimes it’s quiet and we can get through our paperwork, and other days the phone won't stop ringing. We make a lot of mistakes, like forgetting to buy milk for the tea or losing a pen, but we get the important stuff done. It’s a bit chaotic but it’s a good kind of chaos. We’re just local people trying to make Panaji a little bit better for everyone who lives here. You don't need an appointment, you just need to find the right door on Luis de Menezes Road and walk in. We stay late most nights.
