Rajesthan Arts

We are located right by Baga Beach in Calangute-Bardez. It is a very lively place to be. You can always hear the waves and the people shouting on the sand. Our shop has a lot of items from Rajasthan even though we are here in Goa. We have colorful fabrics, small statues, and lots of handmade trinkets. The salt in the air is not great for some of the metal pieces so we have to wipe them down every single day. It is a lot of work to keep things looking good in this humidity. We get people from all over the world walking in with sand on their feet. We have to sweep the floor five or six times a day. It is hot here but we have a few fans that keep the air moving. We don't have set hours really. If there are people around, we stay open. If the beach is empty because of the rain, we might close early and go home. We talk to a lot of travelers and hear their stories. It makes the day go by faster. We don't do any big advertising. We just put some of our brightest things near the door and people wander in. It is a simple way to run a shop. We like the sun and we like the people we meet.
