Manipal Goa Cancer & General Hospital

We've been here in Porvorim for quite some time now. Our place is right on Dr E Borges Road, just across from where the old fish market used to be. If you see the Ambika Hotel, we are right above it. People sometimes have a bit of trouble finding the entrance because of the busy street, but once you get up here, it’s a bit quieter. It’s a cancer and general hospital, so we see all sorts of folks coming in every day. Some are local neighbors from around the corner, others travel from further out in Goa because they need specific help. The building itself isn't the newest thing on the block, but we keep things running the best we can. The staff usually knows the regulars by name. Dealing with cancer is heavy, but we just try to get through the day and help whoever walks through the door. It gets pretty humid in this part of town during the monsoon, and the parking outside can be a real headache sometimes. We just focus on the patients and the medical work. There isn’t much fancy stuff here, just doctors, nurses, and the usual hospital equipment you’d expect. We have been part of this neighborhood for years, watching the old market change and new shops open up around us. It is just a regular part of life here on the road.
