Mahatme Nursing Home

We are located at No. 2851 in Sankalp Gardens, right off the SH - 1 Highway Road. Because of the highway, there’s a constant sound of trucks zooming past at all hours. Inside the building, things are a bit quieter, but it never really stops. We have patients coming in with all sorts of things, and the hallway is usually a bit crowded. The walls are painted a pale green that hasn't changed in years. We’ve got a small garden area out front where people sit when they need some fresh air. It’s not much, just a few bushes and a bench that wobbles slightly. My shift usually starts with checking the files and making sure the medicine cabinets are stocked. The floor is tile and it gets cleaned three times a day because we don't like dirt. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping someone walk down the hall. We don't have the big fancy machines you see in city hospitals, but we do what we can with what we have. It’s a busy life, and sometimes it gets stressful when the waiting room is full. We just take it one person at a time and try to keep things moving. By the time the sun goes down, we are all pretty tired, but we’ll be back again tomorrow morning. This place stays open while the rest of the world sleeps.
