About Inwpf Child & Women Welfare Association – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in North Goa
The Inwpf Child & Women Welfare Association operates out of a house in Panjim. The address is House No 231/8/6 in Santarbhat, which is over in Divar. It’s a unique spot because you have to think about the ferry and the water when you are coming or going. Santarbhat is a quiet part of the area. The house itself is a regular family-style building that we have converted for our use. It has several rooms where we keep our records and meet people. It doesn't look like an institution or a big NGO office. It just looks like another house on the lane. We have some old chairs in the waiting area and a big wooden table where most of the planning happens. The floors are tiled and easy to clean, which is good because we get a lot of people coming through. Sometimes the house feels a bit crowded when everyone is there at once. We don't have fancy air conditioning in every room, so we leave the windows open to catch the breeze from the river. It’s a practical environment for the Inwpf Child & Women Welfare Association. We have our name written on a board near the entrance. Most people in the village know where House 231 is, so they can point you in the right direction. It is a lived-in space that usually smells a bit like old paper and tea.
